I’m Sorry

I can’t believe it has been almost a month since my last post.  Time goes by so quickly anymore.  I really don’t even have a good excuse.

I did hold a cricut class a week ago and spend time preparing for that.   I had five women come, and they made three Christmas cards, two birthday cards, and one thank you card.  I scheduled three hours with them cutting out everything with their machines.  It was a lot of fun, and I hope they learned some new things.  I thought I would share some of the cards.  These are not all of them.  I’m post the last two tomorrow.

This card shows how you can use the snowflakes cut from the overlay to add dimension to your card.  I got the idea for the baker’s twine smoke coming from the chimney from Aaron at aaronsbooth32.blogspot.com.  She used Close To My Heart’s twist ties. The inside reads “ Merry Christmas from our house to yours”.

This card was showing how you make a stamp set work for your cut.  I cut the ornament to fit the stamp from Close To My Heart’s Frosted card workshop.  It also taught them the masking technique.  I learned from Betsy Veldman, a design team member of PaperTreyInk.  I love her stuff.

It is hard to see but the circle is really an ornament.  I love the embossing behind it.

This card was making your own dimensionals.  The button is made by cutting two buttons from white daisy cardstock and then the top layer in the red B&T and gluing all together.   The button is cut from Artiste and has the button holes cut for you.  The white baker’s twine is then threaded through and tied.  The frame and snowflake are cut from Artbooking.
