I hope everyone is having a great Sunday before the work week starts. I know by the title of today’s post you probably expected pictures of mouth watering cookie goodness. Sorry, no yummy cookies, just adorable gingerbread cookies from paper instead. The inspiration for today’s card comes from a manufactured card that I saw at a store. The theme of the card was flowers and the “Live, Love, Laugh”. I had just received the Stamp of the Month for October which had words that I could use for my card instead. I looked through my cricut cartridges to find a design that I could use. My good friend, Dianne, had given me the Gingerbread cartridge as a Christmas gift a few years ago, and I used three images from it.
I found a sentiment from Close To My Heart that works great with it for the inside.
Although my inspiration came from a non-Christmas card, it adapts well to becoming one. Take a few minutes when you are shopping to look at cards and see how you can make one similar with all your card making supplies.
All supplies Close To My Heart unless noted:
paper: Pear and Partridge(retired), Cranberry, Colonial White and Kraft cardstock
stamps: Scandinavian Wish(October SOTM) and Peace on Earth(retired)
ink: New England Ivy
cricut: Gingerbread and Circuit Craft Room
