I’m back today with yes, another Christmas card. This card is inspired by one I saw by Becky Whitman at becca-expressions.blogspot.com. I think this card is adorable. I don’t remember if the inspiration was embossed or not, but mine is. I ran it through a cuddlebug folder that I thought resembles a crocheted or knitted mitten. I got ahead of myself. A description of what I did is below the picture.
Using cricut craft room, I cut out the snowflake inside the mitten. I then trimmed with my scissors the snowflake just leaving the star. I stitched the mitten with baker’s twine. For the card base, I cut out two mittens out of White Daisy card stock and scored half an inch on the back one at the top for the card to open. I then glued the tops together at this fold line. I then glued on my embroidered mitten and cuff onto the front mitten. I threaded a button and glued it in the center of the star after I attached the star at the center of the snowflake. I hope this makes sense and doesn’t confuse anyone.
For the sentiment, I used two different stamps to achieve the greeting that I wanted. This I stamped on the inside at the cuff.
Here is a close up of the embossing. I love the look and am on an embossing kick right now. Well, embossing is one of the kicks I’m on at this current time.
